All are welcome to experience the serenity and adventure that awaits year-round on The Kinzua Valley Trail. But, those interested in getting more involved are crucial to the upkeep and future of the trail. You can be a part of this trailblazing effort by donating, volunteering or joining as a member of the Kinzua Valley Trail Club.
Supporting the trail can be as easy and fun as attending one of the Club's annual fundraisers like the first day of Trout Season in the spring and the MoonDance in the fall. All contributions go toward the continued maintenance, improvement and extension of the Kinzua Valley Trail.
Kinzua Valley Trail Club meetings are held at 7 pm every third Wednesday of the month at The Westline Inn.
After a long hard northern Pennsylvania winter, it can sometimes take more than a little spring cleaning to repair the trail. The maintenance season goes from April through late October, when the trail is in need of consistent care, which usually involves trimming weeds that encroach on the berms, clearing fallen trees and grooming the trail surface.
Not everyone needs to dig in and get their hands dirty, but that helps, too! Work sessions are stress-free and hours are flexible, but most are held at 9 am on scheduled Saturdays. However, there may be occasions when sessions are needed on week days. Volunteers meet for work sessions at the maintenance building on the CCC Road across from the Westline Trailhead.
The Kinzua Valley Trail Club is grateful to all who give of themselves to keep the trail in tip-top shape for all to enjoy!
