This work session will concentrate mainly on the Meade/Root Run areas. We will be removing old railroad ties from the berms in this portion of the trail, trimming back weeds from the bollards, sluices and mile-marker posts and installing maps of the Trail at the Root Run (CCC Rd.) and Meade Run (FS 150) road intersections
Gas powered weed-whackers (metal blades work best) will be useful. The session is expected to last about four hours. The KVTC will provide drinking water.

The Kinzua Valley Trail Club's annual moondance (and pig roast) will be held this fall at the Historic Westline Dance Hall. Featuring the band SECOND ACT. Tickets will go on sale this summer.

Although bicycles of all sizes are already allowed on the trail; plans have been discussed for a mountain bike event. All ages and abilities will be welcome and encouraged to participate. Date to be announced.
Tony Dolan Memorial Ski for Cancer (Jan. 27th 2018)
Since 1979, The American Cancer Society (ACS) has held its annual Tony Dolan Memorial Ski for Cancer event at the trail in Westline. Originated by Tony Dolan, a Bradford pharmacist and former President of the local ACS chapter, the Ski for Cancer is the only event of its kind held in Pennsylvania! To date, it has raised more than $260,000 to support cancer research, education and prevention, as well as support local individuals in their cancer journey. anyone wishing to purchase a memorial sign can contact the American Cancer Society;
